In 2000 West’s body was rediscovered and revived. A conflagration in 1887 caused West’s contemporaries to imagine he had perished whereas his physique remained hidden and preserved for greater than a century. If the chaps who write these tales would get a bit extra naturalness into their yarns there would be extra published. “There is an astonishing lack of ‘naturalness’ in these stories that come to us by the mails. In 1913 “The Magazine Maker: An Informative Journal for Writers and Editors” printed an article about submitting stories to magazines, and shared the opinion that many such tales were of low high quality.
